Success stories: Kimberley
Kimberley attended our Yarrabilba ladies’ program and was positive from the onset. She was in a stable relationship, had a job cleaning and had a short term goal to find more secure employment and save $200 a week for a deposit on a home. Covid hit towards the completion of the program and the final workshops and graduation were postponed for 3 months.
On return to the program Kimberley’s announced that despite the negatives of Covid and the pressure she felt at home, there were many positives. She was able to focus on sticking to her budget and she and her partner had saved enough for a deposit on a home. She was still searching for a permanent job and she remained positive and focused on her goals.
Scottsdale Construction Systems had a full time administration job on offer and Kimberley was invited to apply. Despite the competition being extremely tough with over 200 applicants of which many were very qualified for the role, Kimberley was happy to interview as she felt the experience would be helpful and the feedback constructive.
Kimberley was short listed and interviewed so well that she was offered the job. Her positivity, her honesty and her lovely personality shone through on the day and she started work the following week. We are very proud of Kimberley and grateful to Scottsdale for seeing the potential in Kimberley.
Scottsdale reported recently that Kimberley was going really well.
