Well-being & mentoring program

The Onwards & Upwards Program is our flagship self-development program that’s been created to support adults and young people in need. Through one-on-one mentoring we work to inspire participants to imagine, plan and achieve a more satisfying, balanced and brighter future.

Over eight weeks, participants undertake a personal development and mentoring program that uncovers and embraces their values as an individual and takes a deep dive into their wellbeing, motivation, resilience and accountability.

How the program works

The Onwards & Upwards wellbeing and mentoring program has been designed to provide a safe and welcoming environment where participants learn to build self-awareness, self-esteem and confidence. The mentors and program facilitators support participants to identify what they want out of life and, quite often for the first time, see a brighter future. We teach them how to plan and work towards making their dreams reality.

The program teaches participants to take responsibility for their actions and encourages them to make positive contributions to their family and their community.

We help each participant focus and develop new skills and strategies to help them build brighter futures.

It’s flexible to suit different groups

Onwards & Upwards is the result of years of experience in mentoring and offering support to people in need. It’s designed to fit the vast range of participants we support.

We can make it work for any group through:

  • Tailored workshops to suit the specific needs of each group and organisation.
  • Practical activities to develop self-worth and confidence.
  • Team building activities to encourage interaction and communication skills.
  • Exposure to quality mentors who work one-on-one to build trust and open communication.
  • An emphasis on building community engagement.
  • Development of a network to continue the friendships and support beyond the program.

We also run the program in different formats to suit different group needs – either as an 8-week program (1.5hrs per week) or a shorter 4-week program (3 hours per week).
